The MAI-KAI Restaurant and Polynesian Show – The MAI-KAI

Makai Non-Show Dining

Experience the legendary Mai-Kai, where every bite of our great tiki-inspired cuisine transports you to a tropical paradise.  Please note that reservations for the following dining rooms include your dinner experience only.  If you would like to book tickets to the show, click here.

Tahiti

This dining room is a fully immersive escape from the showroom with its own A-frame, a center thatched hut, and tables and booths for groups of any size. Windows offer views of the lush tiki gardens and its exotic walking paths.

The thatch and many lamps high in the ceiling are original, untouched since the room was added in 1970. The carved poles and floral patterns give the room a Tahitian flair, while the distinctive lighting and jade tiles enhance the exotic yet sophisticated feel.

Lanai

A covered outdoor dining area located on a sprawling wooden deck adjacent to our Tahiti Room and near the Moorea Room, this is the perfect spot to enjoy al fresco dining in our unique tropical environment. There are also additional uncovered spots deep within the verdant gardens that are available during the cooler winter months.

Walk through the gardens at your leisure and relax to the soothing ambiance of waterfalls and island music. Pose for photos with giant tikis and masks of the South Pacific.

The Molokai Bar

Themed after an 1800s South Seas seaport saloon, the Molokai bar is home to a popular happy hour and live entertainment, making it the perfect spot for to enjoy our signature cocktails and pu-pu appetizers before dinner.

Named after the Hawaiian island known as the “The Friendly Isle”, the lavish space just off the main entrance features many cozy tables and bar seating and is a destination unto itself for evening socializing with friends and family.  The nautical theming and constant faux rainfall on the windows perfectly set the mood for your adventure at the MAI-KAI.

The Molokai Bar is filled with props and décor from the 1962 film “Mutiny on the Bounty,” including a large ship’s binnacle or compass, an authentic ship’s bell and clock, and a “maidenhead” bust from a ship’s prow. All of the rigging and rope work is authentic to the era. Look for vintage maps and model ships that pay homage to the Bounty’s ill-fated journey. The back corner features windows that open to waterfalls and the indoor garden behind the dinner show stage.
